Eddie
Gill plays rhythm guitar and sings lead, tenor, & high lead vocals.
Eddie grew up in the South Boston and Chase City areas of Virginia. Eddie started
playing and singing at the age of 20. Eddie and his father Hermon Gill started
the Grassmasters in 1993. Eddie is a 4th generation musician. Eddie's great grandfather,
grandfather, and father all play banjo. Eddie has performed on stage with bands
such as the Misty Valley Boys, In The Tradition, and many other local groups.
Eddie loves pickin and grinning with friends whenever he gets a chance.

Jeremy
Stephens plays mandolin and sings harmony. Born and raised in Danville,
VA, Jeremy began playing fiddle and banjo at age 5 and later picked up the mandolin
and guitar. His primary influences in music and Don Reno & Red Smiley, and
his favorite mandolin player is Smiley Hobbs. Jeremy also performs regularly with
Shallow Creek, the New North Carolina Ramblers, and the Watauga Mountain Boys. |
